Navigating Tight Driveways Near Saint Mary's
We got a call from a homeowner on a narrow street right behind Saint Mary's Hospital. They were gutting a kitchen in a split-level built around 1995, and the construction debris was piling up fast against the vinyl siding. The real headache wasn't the trash, but the placement; their driveway had a steep grade and barely enough width for our truck. If we blocked the sidewalk, the city would be on us immediately.
I backed the truck in slowly, using wood cribbing to keep the steel rollers from gouging their asphalt. We angled the bin to let them toss cabinets straight from the side door without walking around the truck. The crew swapped the full bin for an empty one early Tuesday morning to dodge the hospital shift-change traffic. By the time the contractors arrived, the site was clear and ready for the new install.
Mateo squeezed that dumpster into a spot I didn't think was possible, saving our lawn from getting trashed.
